The Hybrid technique combines both methods in a single session: Sapphire crystal blades open V-shaped channels only in the hairline zone — roughly the first 600 grafts, where angle and direction decide whether the result looks natural — and every remaining graft is placed with the pure DHI Choi implanter pen, with no channels pre-opened and no forceps used at any stage. All sapphire hairline incisions are performed personally by Dr. Enver Kayıkçıoğlu under the surgical supervision of Medical Director Dr. Selahattin Tulunay. Hybrid is the plan we recommend most often for Norwood 4–6 patients who need both a rebuilt frontal line and crown coverage in one trip, because it avoids the compromise of choosing one technique for two very different anatomical problems.

The hairline and the crown are different problems. The hairline needs precise angle control, which sapphire channels give; the crown needs placement between existing hairs at a whorl angle, which the DHI pen does better.
